THE DO’S & DON’TS OF REHEATING YOUR ROSSO PIZZA

Taking your ROSSO pizza home with you? No problem!

Here are some tips from our trained pizzaioli on reheating your pizza, while still keeping its unbeatable texture & flavor.

Our pizza is best when it is eaten right out of the oven in the company of friends and family at ROSSO POMODORO. The 90-second cook time allows our dough and ingredients to form a “masterpizza” with the proper taste and texture enjoyed in Italy for over 500 years.

However, taking your pizza home to enjoy is always encouraged! When you get home we do not want you to just “reheat” the pizza, but re-awaken it using one of these suggested methods.

WARNING: Please do not heat the pizza in a microwave or an Air Fryer.

Trust us, the rubbery crust is not worth the few minutes you will save.

The Oven Method

We suggest using the oven to reheat your pizza. However, please follow these steps to ensure your pizza does not dry out.

  • First, preheat your oven to 450 degrees. It is very important to let the oven reach this temperature so that the pizza is not in longer than it should.

  • Next, remove the pizza from any external packing and place the pizza on the middle rack of the oven. A baking sheet or similar tray is recommended, but not needed.

  • Heat the pizza for 5-7 minutes. The longer the pizza is in the oven, the crispier it will become. However, make sure to not let the pizza dry out and lose all of the moisture.

BUON APPETITO! Enjoy your Neapolitan Pizza.

The Skillet Method

Only have a couple of slices you want to reheat? Using the skillet method is a great option and helps re-awaken smaller portions.

  • First, place a non-stick skillet on your cooktop over medium heat.

  • Next, place your pizza slice or slices in the skillet and heat it for 1-2 minutes. If you’d like, you can then add olive oil into the skillet next to the pizza. (olive oil not required)

  • Then, put a lid on the skillet and leave it on medium heat for 2-3 more minutes.

This method will give you a nice pizza base with perfectly melted cheese on top.

The Next Day Method

Couldn’t finish your pizza in one sitting? Not a problem, our pizza stores well and can be just as delicious the next day.

When you are ready to store your pizza, take the slices out of the pizza box and store them in an airtight container. This will help to preserve the flavor. We recommend reusable Tupperware if you have it. While the pizza box looks nice, it is for transporting pizza, not storing pizza.

Then, the next day when you are ready for your pizza, you can use either the oven method or the skillet method to begin to enjoy your pizza once again!
